Lift[ED] is proud to have worked with the staff at the North Carolina Botanical Garden to develop this unique and artful large scale entrance monument. The work celebrates the efforts of conservation through use of regional materials arranged to reflect the process of organization and arrangement. This project was neatly tucked into a myriad of utilities, easements, setbacks, and visual obstructions. Each aspect of the entry monument was carefully considered in order to maximize visibility from the street while creating a tasteful image that speaks to the mission of the garden. Planting recommendations were made by Lift[ED], but final planting was selected by NCBG. The landscape is always changing as the garden edits the planting choices, making this a dynamic space that draws visitors to engage with native plants and plant conservation.
