We do not always get to visit the places we design when we want to (we want to visit all the time), but sometimes we get a special treat and a friend goes for us. This summer we were surprised to learn that a friend from Minnesota had taken his family to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and visited the Green Play Yard. He sent us these pictures and we are thrilled and encouraged to see that the garden is still thriving. From the photos it is apparent that the natural loose parts and manipulable elements of the play area are very successful. Everything is holding up and is well used by children and families. Little stories like this one of a friend taking his family to a garden and happening to remember that we had a part in the design are a delightful inspiration. Thanks to Mark and his beautiful family for sharing photos of their visit!
